This tip is my wording on Christian Arheim’s solution…

If you notice your home PCs are all of a sudden replying with wrong host names, your 5×6 has messed up its DNS table (again). Do this:

  • Open your favourite web browser (I use Firefox, of course)
  • Type in one of the following:
  • If you have turned on that your 5×6 should answer to https, replace http with https
  • Navigate to
    • Home Network
    • Devices
    • Configure (upper right-hand corner)
  • Either click Remove on offending entries only, or remove’m all and let the list rebuild
  • Repeat when necessary…

Note: List will for a “short” time contain entries like “Unknown AA-BB-CC-DD-EE-FF” where the hex part is the interface MAC address.

Kerio Firewall

WinRoute allocates a maximum of 128 simultaneous connections per host on the network, but some applications ask for more. If one of your applications use “stateless protocols” this may be the case. If you need to increase the capacity, stop WinRoute (or this will not work) and goto

  • HKLM/software/kerio/winroute.

The specific value is called ‘natconnlimitperhost‘. WinRoute’s entire NAT pool has a capacity of 1600 entries, but you may increase this value up to 20,000 using the value ‘NatTableSize‘ if needed. Increase these values marginally and monitor the error log to determine a value you can live with.
